Many physicians and research scientists have proven that this is the best diet and lifestyle for most humans. Even compared to those who follow the prescribed dietary protocol of the American Heart Association to treat their heart disease, the people who followed a low-fat plant-based diet were twice as less likely to suffer another cardiac event and were even able to reverse the hardening of their arteries (atherosclerosis). Now that’s something!

We know that when a person has atherosclerosis in their coronary arteries, for example, there are most likely other areas in their body that are similarly compromised (think: brain, peripheral vascular disease, erectile dysfunction) After all, the body is a whole connected system.

Dr. Neal Barnard, founder of Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and the author of many books, as well as T. Colin Campbell, PhD, founder of Center for Nutrition Studies and author of The China Study are some of the many plant based physicians who are turning the world’s health around by prescribing  symptom reversal  with “medicine on your plate” instead of  symptom masking  by prescribing pharmaceutical drugs in a bottle.

Today there is a well-known conglomerate of intuitive physicians who have proven through their published research that some of the trendier recycled diets that are now found in our pop culture like The Keto and Paleo Diets, don’t have a leg to stand on. Simply put, they are genius marketing ploys in which to earn someone a lot of money. But these fad diets have been argued and disproven by people like Dr. Kim Williams, former president of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Dean Ornish carried out the research that Dr. Williams follows that proved that patients that were put on a program that included mostly plants had less coronary plaque and fewer cardiac events. Since then, many other physicians site Dr. Ornish’s work.

One of the original most influential mavericks of the plant based movement, Dr. T. Colin Campbell, PhD, was instrumental in proving that the more animal protein a person consumes, the higher the risk of them developing cancer. His 2004 study in China, The China Study, was the most comprehensive study of nutrition ever conducted! He has since founded The Center for Nutrition Studies based on the principals of a WFPB diet.

Please remember that none of the studies done by these doctors and scientists were backed by corporate money. It is important to know which studies to trust. They must be transparent for integrity.
